The service
BettrPDF provides online tools to fill, sign, send and track PDF documents, plus pay-per-use fax and mail, on a Free plan and a paid Pro plan as described on the pricing page.
Billing
Paid plans are billed by Stripe, either annually in advance or month-to-month. Month-to-month plans can be cancelled any time and remain active until the end of the paid month. Annual plans renew yearly unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Refund guarantee
Every paid plan carries a 100% refund guarantee: email support within 30 days of a charge and we refund it in full, no questions asked.
Your content
You keep all rights to your documents. You grant us only the permission needed to process them as you ask. Do not upload content you have no right to use, or anything unlawful.
Signatures
Electronic signatures created with the service are intended to comply with the US ESIGN Act, UETA and EU eIDAS for simple electronic signatures. You are responsible for confirming that an electronic signature is acceptable for your specific document.
Sending documents for signature
When you send a document for signature or collect documents, you are the party doing business with your recipients and you are responsible for that relationship. Every signer is shown our electronic record and signature disclosure (bettrpdf.com/esign-disclosure) with your name, and must agree to it before signing; we record which version they agreed to, when, and from what device. You agree to: send only to people you have a real reason to deal with; honor a signer's request to sign on paper, to get a paper copy, or to withdraw consent for future documents; keep the email and phone details you send to accurate; and not use electronic signatures for documents the law requires on paper or with special formalities, such as wills, codicils and testamentary trusts, court orders and notices, notices of utility shutoff, foreclosure, eviction or default on a primary residence, cancellation of health or life insurance, product recall notices, and documents that must accompany hazardous materials. Where a law or a regulator requires a particular identity check (for example IRS Form 8879 signed remotely), you are responsible for meeting it. We keep the audit trail and certificate of completion for each envelope for as long as your account is open, and you can download them at any time.
Acceptable use
No abuse of the free quota through automation, no reselling access, and no attempts to bypass plan limits.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before a claim.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email 14 days before they take effect.
